Quick fixes: when your iPhone can't find the printer

Before anything else, try these — they resolve most “No AirPrint printers found” problems, and they're exactly the checks PrinterHealer automates.

1. Same Wi-Fi network

Your iPhone and printer must be on the same network. Guest networks and separate 2.4GHz / 5GHz names are the most common culprit.

2. Wake the printer

Press any button on the printer so it isn't asleep. A sleeping printer drops off AirPrint even though it's “on.”

3. Restart both

Power-cycle the printer, and restart your Wi-Fi router if you can. This clears a stale local address or route.

4. Let PrinterHealer in

Open PrinterHealer and allow Local Network access when asked — it can't find printers without it.

Using PrinterHealer

PrinterHealer found my printer but couldn't heal it

Some printers can't be recovered by any app running on an iPhone — it depends on the make, model, firmware, and how the printer is connected. When a heal fails it doesn't use up your free fix — you only ever pay once PrinterHealer has actually connected your printer. Email us your printer make and model and we'll look into adding better support for it.

Restore a Pro purchase

Open PrinterHealer, go to the Pro screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you bought Pro with — both the yearly subscription and the Lifetime purchase restore this way.

Cancel PrinterHealer Pro

The yearly plan is managed by Apple: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → PrinterHealer and cancel. The one-time Lifetime purchase never renews, so there's nothing to cancel.

Reset your printer data

On PrinterHealer's main screen, Reset Printer Data removes the saved printer profile, recovery details, Keychain credentials, and any Wi-Fi configurations PrinterHealer created. Deleting the app removes everything too.

Privacy & billing questions

PrinterHealer keeps your printer and network information on your device — see the Privacy Policy. Purchases, refunds, and receipts are handled by Apple; refund requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com. Anything else, just email [email protected].
